Bagels are an incredibly versatile food. They're traditionally eaten for breakfast and lunch although many bagel addicts often scoff them as late night snacks.
Our bagels are made in a broad range of flavours both savoury and sweet. They’re great toasted, good for sandwiches (bagelwiches) or simply eaten on the go.
To produce the authentic bagel, each batch takes about 30 hours to reach the correct texture, consistency and finish. But most importantly, each bagel is boiled before it is baked. The boiling process gives the bagel its shine, crust and chewy texture. It also removes a lot of the starch, making it lighter on the stomach and more easily digested than your average bread.
We boil and bake 15 varieties of bagels fresh everyday in our Rozelle bagelry. Last year alone we made more than 1.2 million - that's a lot of bagels!

People call us from time to time and ask if we make mini bagels. The answer is yes - we do make mini bagels! Mini bagels are about the size of a doughnut and are great for party or function nibblies. Oh, and kids love them too. We make plain, sesame, poppy, cheese, blueberry and sugar blueberry mini bagels.

A baker's half dozen is seven bagels for the price of six. Buy any mix of six bagels and pick any seventh one on us. That includes mini bagels too!
Note: Our full bagel range is available at our Rozelle Bagelry Cafe only. That's because a few of them are a bit difficult to transport and they're better fresh from the bagelry. |
